December 4 Greetings! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, I baked way too much! We just don't eat like that anymore, and 4 new pounds later, I realized why! So it's back to normal...and I was glad to send my boys home with lots of leftovers. The critters outside shared the left over dinner rolls...I do enjoy baking though, so that was fun. We had one day of sunshine this week, so I managed to get as many pictures as I could...then back to the normal December clouds! And good grief it's almost completely dark at 4:15...ug! I've been walking in the dark though, which is fine. I finished up the Pixiewarmers and LOVE them! That Jo Sharp Georgette is a gorgeous yarn. Started now is a pair of bulky weight long mittens with a horseshoe cable, pretty! I picked a midnight blue....normally I don't go for blue, but this is exceptional. Monday is my birthday! I'll turn 51, and we'll have a nice dinner out. The day might just call for a trip to Northeast Fiber Arts! I found (and purchased) some lovely little fabric pieces which I've made into Lil' Yarn Sacks...these are smaller than the usual, but still house beautifully a working ball. See them tonight. I also had fun putting together a mini Companion Clutch, not sure if I'll make more but this one is adorable! A young woman (who knows both my boys) makes great t-shirts. I've ordered 2 for Woody for Christmas, see her link below. Very nice work...and she's a doll. I highly recommend her work, and what a great gift for that hard to shop for older teen/young adult. It can't all be about electronics....right? Ok, lots to type...have a great week! Stay warm and knit on good women! Martha. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5582182 |
