November 20
Greetings!
It's cold! Been in the 20's most of the week. I did get out for a good long walk today though...makes the house feel that much warmer when you come inside! I finished up the alpaca cable scarf I was working on. I bought the yarn at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival. It's thin, but just right. 2.75” x 88” One wrap around brings it to my hip…wrapped twice brings it to just above my waist. I started another pair of fingerless mitts. I LOVE this pattern! And the yarn is so neat and 'squishy'! It's a Jo Sharp yarn...Alpaca Silk Georgette (40% alpaca, 40% merino wool, 20% silk). Gorgeous. I have another skein in a deep gray. might just have to do two pair! I still need to do the thumb...it too is bound off with a picot edge.
With next week being Thanksgiving, we won't be listing on Thursday. Instead, Allison will upload the bags on Wednesday....around 3:00 in the afternoon. Maybe a bit sooner. After that we'll be right back on track. I get quite a few email from women in England who are always so disappointed because when the bags are listed...they're sound asleep. Five hours ahead....<I also received an email today from a woman in Ireland, she too would love a bag>. I'm not sure what I'll be able to get done. I have three custom bags going out, but I will offer what I can...including Lil' Yarn Sacks! So, every now and then to have a needed time change might be a good opportunity for those who usually miss out. Thanks all....and I wish you a peaceful Thanksgiving full of blessings...and good pie.
...And as always, we good women will knit on!...
Martha.
