April 9

Greetings!

What a week of cold and rain! Today was the first sunny day we had. Remember those pictures of the road last week? Turns out that was just the tip of the iceburg... it hadn't been that bad in five or so years. Cars were criss-crossing and weaving just to avoid bottoming out, but today it was grated so we hope the worst is behind us.
I'm still working on the little green dress which is delightful knitting every time I pick it up. It's slow to grow but should move along faster as I continue to decrease up the sides.
Betsy and I had a great trip to Woodstock! She put loads of quarters in the meter and we still got a ticket! Seems two hours in a nice yarn shop flies right by. I found four great books and purchased enough for two of the projects... love it. She did the same, then it was off to an antique clothing store, a country store and we finished up the day and an antique mall where we found two big boxes of buttons, ten cents each! Our hands quickly got dirty but we didn't care.... and could have dug for another hour.
Great trip.
My email issues are all set, so if you've been waiting for me to respond and I haven't ... try now.

It's a full moon tonight so I hope to get out and enjoy it. I've been inside the majority of the day and really want to fit in a walk.

Safe travels to those who are leaving home this weekend... enjoy your loved ones, and knit on good women!

Martha.
