August 20

Women of a certain age are like sunflowers, we know how to turn our faces to the sun.

Greetings!

All is well here though our days are getting shorter. Our 9:00 pm bike rides now have to be at 8:15... but are just as enjoyable. We had a nice time last weekend at Kingsland Bay, setting up our chairs and doing nothing but getting hot enough to swim, which we did. Paul did read, and of course I worked on various projects... mostly my crocheted squares of many colors which is now at its half way point. We stayed for a bit then came home for dinner on the grill and the solace of our own backyard. :)
On Sunday Paul and I were invited out for a boat ride with our friends John and Betsy, and we has such a good time! Betsy is as comfortable on the boat and she is with her knitting in hand. We all had a lovely cool swim, good food and good conversation. And how beautiful Burlington looks from the lake at night! Thanks guys.....

It was a rare run of warm and sunny days so the farmer's were busy haying. 'Make hay when the sun shines......'

Just a reminder that a new batch of leather shoulder straps is in. This time I'm offering black, chestnut and a deep burgundy.

I had a good and productive week, enjoy the bags tonight... as always, I loved making them. Thanks for the great feedback that came in regarding the new Yarn Market Bag! I'd love to have one myself....

Okay, let's all take good care of ourselves as we knit on good women! Till next week,
Martha.
