December 3
Greetings! And a Happy Birthday to Marilyn :) Cheers to a fellow knitter and fellow Sagittarius! I turn 52 on the 8th. They say we Sagittarius are optimistic, freedom-loving, jovial, have a good sense of humor and are intellectual. Intellectual (?) Hmmmm. Colors are indigo & purple, no surprise there.... So, happy birthday to all December babies. With us changing around the house we're finding things in nooks and crannies... like this old photo of when Paul and I were first together. What.... I don't look like that anymore? Funny how we never change inside....
Seven bags tonight, some great new fabrics. Also three more custom bags are completed. It's been surprisingly mild.. many years past we've had lots of snow by now so it's starting to feel odd not to have it. Soon enough though.... soon enough! Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I did. Made all the difference getting the baking done ahead of time, cleaning too. Once the turkey was in I found some nice quiet time that morning to knit. I've been wanting to do a cabled scarf for a long time and wanted to incorporate a celtic knot in the center.... so here it is. I'll write up what I'm doing so those interested can have the pattern. I am going to do a light block when it's done so there will be a bit of space between the side cables and large center cable. I wanted it somewhat dense and am having a blast working on it. Not to mention I'm using my lovely Lantern Moon needles. Odd to be on straights, but these are so pretty....
Foggy and rainy today... short days little light. Where you can barely see the sun over the tree tops is our backyard at 2:45 pm. Yikes....
Even though it was cloudy for the full moon, the light did come through and I had one of my wonderful full moon night time walks. Those are my favorite and always seem to bring me balance.
Running a little late today..... stay well good women & knit on!
Martha.
