November 19

Greetings! A week or so ago a gal from our yoga class invited us to a barn dance in Starksboro, the next town over heading South. It was a pot luck and we were both tired having had a long week... but we rallied. I baked some onions and Paul threw some sausage on the grill and off we went. The gal from yoga knew all about this wonderful renovation/art/community project as her dad was born in the barn in 1917. The barn in beautiful, and huge! Wonderful, hearty dishes were placed on the tables, art projects were everywhere, bales of hay lined the sides to keep out the cold and to make cozy warm places to sit...... and there was a zidago band. Keeping to the rhythm kept us warm~ It was a great time, young, old and many in-between were there bringing generations and communities together. Here's a link to when it all started:

I finished up Taylor's hat! Just like Paul's though I changed the tassel colors :) Our house project is coming along nicely, the sheet rock, taping and sanding are complete and the sub floor has been laid. Next up is painting and laying down the bamboo. Not sure where we'll be eating Thanksgiving dinner, but we're trying to keep any and all pressure off of ourselves... wherever we eat is just fine!

Days are growing shorter, the sun is completely gone from our yard by 2:15, but it's all a part of it, and the circle continues. It is quite a change though because a few months ago. in three hours from now, I'd be heading out for a bike ride! I'm actually typing early today as once all information gets to Allison, I'm heading back to the studio to work on custom bags.....

With next Thursday being Thanksgiving, the bags will be uploaded WEDNESDAY evening at 8:30, I think that's what we did last year too.

Ah! Two stunning new fabrics were just delivered, they're gorgeous! See them both next week! Love love love~

So, enjoy the week.... enjoy tonight's bags, let's remember to be good to one another as we do what we do good women ........ knit on.

Martha.
