October 1

Greetings & rabbit-rabbit! We had our first hard frost up on the hill and the pellet stove has been burning..... the colors are lovely and the pumpkins are ripe. Our town had its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday and it was fun to head down and visit. Great music & good old friends..... I was very good and didn't purchase any yarn, is that good? ;) I've worked steadily on my crocheted blanket and only have one more row to go, and then the boarder... I'm so excited to see it finished, but think I'll want to block it before the boarder is stitched. I picked up yarn to knit Paul a hat (it's been a few years) so I'll be starting that this weekend (if I can pt the blanket down). Our older son turns 23 on Saturday so tomorrow we're having a gathering here for dinner, should be fun!

Be sure to read about the Fiber Challenge at Northeast Fiber Arts.

Jen has had great response so far and is crazy busy sending out yarn :) Also be sure to see the great prizes! Can't wait to use my new Harmony needles (a gift from one of my customers) I'm hoping Paul's hat will work on 8's.

A gal from the bank knows that I'm a knitter (well, they all do !) so she lent me a book she thought I'd like... and she was right! The main character is a knitter, and knitting is mentioned throughout the book, fun. A good story too. The title is 'Family Tree' by Barbara Delinsky, good read. I pleased to say that a few more Oak handles have been added to the mix, along with White Birch... very pretty... a happy wood. As always the Maple and Cherry are here too! Sunday we hope to apple pick! Seems the last few years we've gone it's been cold and rainy.... no matter, it's all a part of living in this great state.

All cart issues from last week have been fixed, you may want to refresh your page.

Thanks for dropping in, be sure to do something nice for yourselves as you continue to care for others .... and of course, knit on good women!

Martha.
