April 15
Greetings! Wow, is it me or was it a fast week?! Hope you all had a good one.... we had some nice sun but it's stayed cool, we look forward to it warming up though rain is predicted for the weekend. Woody came out and turned this week and two nostes went to local gals, but one is available for tonight. His plan is to be able to offer at least 3 a week here and I know we all look forward to it!
I received an email about using a noste with arthritis but when I went to respond I couldn't find it, so.... I think using one would be fine. Some woods are lighter than others, and I'm not sure if thick or thinner would be better, please email me again and I'll do my best to give you additional information. Hope you're checking in this week!
I've changed the dimensions on the Vintage Style Bag. It's bigger by quite a bit, see the 'About The Bags' Page for details. I wanted to make a clear distinction between the Vintage Style and the Demi Vintage, I'd say this does it!
I wrote about sock knitting a few weeks back, and a regular customer emailed me saying that she knits all of her husband's socks, and was nice enough to send pictures too! Impressive! She also did these fun hats... thanks for sending :) !
I cast on a small wrap over the weekend that calls for beads, so I had fun visiting a bead shop and picking some out. I almost went with beads that were the same color as the yarn, but decided to go with a bit of contrast, I'm glad I did.
Most of you know I'm in the fabric shop once or twice a week, and a good pal of mine named Mike works there. We always have a good time together and whenever someone chooses fabric he doesn't like, he always says, "Oh... what a bold choice." Well, I saw some fabric that was pretty different, and I really liked it. I got the , "Oh... what a bold choice" line, and had to laugh. I bought it anyway and made myself a bag over the weekend and brought it in to show the gals who work there... they, like me, think the fabric is great. Mike said. "Oh... such a bold bag." Ha! Honestly, I don't have many of my bags, custom work generally comes first. But if I waited for an opening I'd never have a new bag! I love it... and am offering an almost twin tonight.
I want to share with you an Etsy seller that I found. I don't know about you all, but I've had a hard time finding skin care that I love. I've tried so many but none have ever felt that good to me. And finding products that aren't tested on animals is also important. Not sure how I found this seller, but I purchased a few of her products. I love them... and went back for more. I emailed her with a question and she asked about my skin. She gave me so much information and suggested just the right products for me, my age... and my skin type. I was thrilled! They're simply, yet smartly packaged. Wonderful ingredients... she sure knows her stuff! For her scented items, you can look through her long list of options, and she can duplicate many scents that are on the market now. I highly recommend her and am thrilled with my new products :)
