Green Mountain Knitting Bags

Greetings! Ahhh summer! Finally we have warmth, and we already broke temperature records yesterday reaching into the 90's. Okay, so it's too hot for me already (!) but the sun has been beautiful and graduation day was gorgeous! Starting Friday of last week, we got real busy getting the house ready for guests... food shopping and prepping everything for Sunday. We needed to be in Burlington by 7:45 am (I know, I know...) but it was a great day and a great gathering of friends and family afterwards.

Yesterday I met up with Melanie from The Savvy Girls podcast. We met in Middlebury where she's performing for the next couple of weeks.

She does the podcast with her sister and it's one of my favorites! I hope to meet up with her again and show her my neck of the woods... and Paul and I hope to catch one of her performances.

Woody had a great week turning and I managed eight bags for tonight. Cases will be back next week! Not too much time to knit this week other than the five and a half hour graduation where I worked primarily on the tangerine shawlette. Oh... this very pretty green yarn is yet another hank of the Elle Rae lace merino in colorway 115. I bought it in Middlebury yesterday while on our 'yarn crawl'.
The weather has been spectacular but we're now in need of rain! I was out on my bike last night just before a thunder storm hit but we received very little rain.... it did cool things down beautifully though and today was a pristine summer's day.....

Full moon tonight! And it's nice and clear and I do plan on a long moonlit walk. Paul took this week off and Saturday we plan to get the canoe on the car and find some pretty body of water we can explore. We'll bring books, a picnic and of course I'll have my knitting with me! Hopefully next week I can show you all my shawlette!

Thanks for being here. Enjoy tonight's bags and the long weekend! Be good to yourselves and the ones you love... and knit on good women!

Cheers!
Martha.
